Rio 2016: Georgian Lifter Talakhadze Wins +105kg With World Record
Lasha Talakhadze of Georgia lost a world record for snatch but set a new one for total (473kg),
winning gold in the men's +105kg.

Gold medal favorite Behdad Salimi set a world record with a 216kg snatch, taking it away from Talakhadze (215kg),

but bombed out in the clean and jerk. His shocking exit and opened the door, and Talakhadze took advantage.

Gor Minasyan of Armenia earns silver and IrakliTurmanidze of Georgia wins the bronze.

Georgiadoubled their medal count for the 2016 Olympics with their two medals on the event.
