Train to the Clouds (Tren a las Nubes)
The train travels along the shores of the deepest canyons, crossing them seemingly weightless steel bridges, climbing spurs at the Quebrada del Toro to finish your way to a dizzying height of 4,000 meters above sea level.

The train ride lasts 15 hours (from 07:00 to 22:00). Final destination - a colorful old town of San Antonio de los Kobres (San Antonio de los Cobres).

The most famous place of the route - the viaduct La Polvorilla (224 m long and 64 m high), designed in Italy, was established here in 1930 (it can withstand 1,600 tons). The highest bridge on the route is at an altitude of 4475 meters.

To get to the viaduct, from Salta have to drive 219 miles, breaking the 29 bridges, 12 viaducts and 21 tunnel, turns 360 º and two zigzag ascent. Typically, this train runs from April to October.
