Yaremovskiy nature reserve is an amazingly beautiful tiny territory (~1000 hectares) with unique biodiversity in the steppe zone of Ukraine (Kharkiv region, Izium district). The confluence of two large-scale rivers -- Siverskiy Donets and Oskol -- has historically joined the migration paths of birds of passage. The unique hydro conditions caused the fact that all the water bodies in the territory of Yaremovskiy nature reserve are spawning areas for freshwater fish (according to the order №19 of State committee of Fishery of Ukraine "About the approval of the regulatins of amateur and sporting fishing" 15.02.99). The geographical location of the upland oak-grove, floodplain forest and wetlands in the steppe zone of Ukraine the conditions for penetration of forest species of animals and plants far away to the south and their meeting with the steppe species. The complicated relief, chalky ravines, covered with the upland oak-grove, floodplain water meadows with springs, which are hidden in thick alder groves, and even a plot of rocky steppe, which is unique for Kharkiv region -- this is all the basement for amazing biodiversity, which surprises scientists.
For 10 (!) years the scientifically grounded and settled by law idea of creation of nature conservation fund object in this territory has not been implemented due to the activity of deputies hunting elite and the position of Izium forestry enterprise, who doesn't want to loose such a valuable forestry territory.

"Protected urochishche Yaremivske", "Yaremovskiy sanctuary", "Yaremovskiy regional landscape park" -- ideas of creation of a protected area in the territory of Yaremovskiy nature reserved area within the limits of the law, which were brought to a dead end. But with the forces of not indifferent to nature preservation community (nature conservation group "MIG") the unique territory has been protected for 10 years of both poachers and "legal" economic destruction, which takes place in forestry enterprises of Ukraine and has been turned into a system.
Videoseries "The Calendar of Nature" within the site "Yaremovskiy nature reserve" has been created in order to protect the territory of Yaremovskiy nature reserve by showing its beauty.
