Hobby Zone RC Champ and Mini Super Cub First Flights - in HD!

This was the first flight of the 2nd Champ we got. We never were able to get the first Champ to fly right as we crashed it on the first flight and we could never repair it to the point where it would fly. God knows I tried. This new bird flies wonderfully. The first two shorts flights were to test before taking some longer runs. The winds were very light and variable. The crashes might look bad but they were not. There was zero noticeable damage on the Champ from the crashes and landings you see in this video.

This was not the maiden flight of the mini super cub. That took place earlier in the day. If you own a mini super cub and are thinking that it's too slow and stable, here's a suggestion: Put the wing on backwards. It flies a LOT faster that way. And, as luck would have it, it's much more difficult to control that way, too. I cannot recommend this, my friends.

We bought the Phoenix simulator and spent time on it before flying these two birds. I took the Super Cub model and scaled it down 50% and added some variable winds into the weather configuration. This is extremely helpful and recommended.

The anti-crash control on the Cub is what caused me to crash near the end of the clip. I was trying to correct and pull away from the tree magnets and it shut the motor off and leveled the flight and it went into a tree. At least that's my theory. In any case, I won't be using the ACT again.

All in all, we can recommend these two birds.

You can thank me later for not putting stupid music on the video. I opted for the stupid commentary instead.
