Minutes after Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift made up on the VMA stage, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus’ brawled, LIVE. In an exchange that no one saw coming, Nicki called Miley out right after winning Best Hip-Hop Video. Take a look:
Producers quickly cut Nicki Minaj’s mic, leaving her to mouth the rest of her shade. Miley responded quickly by saying QUOTE “Hey, we’re all in this industry, we all do interviews, and we all know how they manipulate shit. Nicki, congratulations.”
Miley then continued to introduce artist to watch, saying that the past winners have gone on to incredible success and that past losers like herself, have made their mark as well. She then looked towards Nicki and said
Miley was implying that Nicki shouldn’t be upset for not being nominated for Video of the Year.
All of this comes subsequent to an interview Miley did with the New York Post in which she responded to Nicki’s comments about the VMA nominations. One of the more blunt quotes said “What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind,”
