Parkour is all about meticulous movement, which is why it’s important not to rush your training. The precision jump is a fundamental move, which can be built upon with practice. In this move, the athlete jumps between two objects without ever losing his or her balance. Before trying a precision jump on an actual gap, try it on even ground between two clearly marked spots. Ronnie recommends using your toes to maintain balance. Repeat this until you feel you can nail the jump consistently.

Now it’s time to take your precision jump to the next level. Jump between two stable objects like solid platforms or, as Ronnie demonstrates, two rocks. Check out how Ronnie places the majority of his weight on his toes, as to maintain his center of balance upon landing. Practice clearing this same gap several times, and then connect the jump between three or four platforms, pivoting on each one and using your momentum to propel yourself forward.
