KRISTEN WIIG TAKES OVER THE GRAMMYs! We’ve got the breakdown on Sia’s show-stopping performance right now.

You guys are back at Clevver’s Trophy Life and no, we are not lying. Kristen freaking Wiig actually performed at the Grammys and it was pure perfection.

Eff yes! This is brilliant. And as I said several times while watching the Chandelier performance live, THI IS ART!!! So if we flashback to the announcement, we should have thought it was a bit strange that Sia was one of the night’s performers due to… well, like never showing her face. And in true Sia fashion, the singer did spend the entirety of this performance facing the wall. We also should have expected that Sia would joined by “go to” dancer, Dance Mom’s Maddy Ziegler – especially since they walked the carpet today. They looked pretty darn good for the record. BUT just when we thought this was just going to be a live interpretation of the music video --- again, this is unbelievable to say, but Kristen Wiig took on the opener of the song. Let’s take another look at one of my favorite performances ever.

Okay, so let’s pause for a sec. I’m going to be completely honest --- a lot of people still aren’t entirely sure whether this was supposed to be funny, or if we were just smiling ear to ear at Kristen Wiig out of pure shock and familiarity --- but regardless, this was hands down the most entertaining and unexpected performance of the night… Maddie was excellent per the usual and Kristen was so committed. This is art, people.

I’d also like to point out that it was none other than Shia LaBeouf who introduced the Sia “Chandelier” performance… ya know, since he stars in her latest music video ‘Elastic Heart’ along with Maddie. He read a poem/note to Sia, it’s pretty cryptic and while it’s not confirmed who wrote the message with words like “I could squeeze you to zero” and “Punch me if I stop crying,” but Detective Dana over here believes that it’s straight from Sia’s husband, Erik.

So between those moves, those facial expressions, that angelic voice and the sheer element of surprise --- this was my favorite performances of the evening. Applause for Sia on this one. So let us know what you guys thought of Kristen Wiig’s Grammys cameo on “Chandelier” and then click right over here to check out the 5 best performances at music’s biggest night! I’m Dana Ward, thanks for watching!
