This happens after The Events of SpongeBob: Sponge Out of Water, SpongeBob HeroPants is a 2015 action-adventure video game based on the television series, SpongeBob SquarePants. It was announced by a press release with a video trailer on January 6, 2015, and it was released on February 3, 2015 in North America and it will be released in March 2015 in Europe for the Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita (cross-compatible with PlayStation TV), and Xbox 360. The game was developed by Behavior Interactive and published by Activision.

The game's plot is set directly after the events of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water film, to debut on February 6, 2015 in the United States, and March 27, 2015 in the United Kingdom. In the game, SpongeBob's dreams are coming to life, altering the very fabric of space and time. Players will progress through alternate manifestations of Bikini Bottom as they attempt to repair SpongeBob's mind. To restore order, players will need to employ the unique superpowers of six playable characters - SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, and Plankton - to solve challenges, battle enemies, and unlock new areas. In addition to platforming combat and exploration, the game features puzzles, boss battles, upgradable skillsets, and a plethora of hidden items to discover. It's about the full size movie Spongebob Squarepants Full Episodes, exclusive to the Xbox 360 version, players will be able to take advantage of drop-in/drop-out four-person local cooperative play.
