This car's paint looks to be somewhat recent, and is in very good to excellent condition, with a gorgeous, mile-deep sheen. Convertible top looks to be older. Chrome bumpers and front grille show a newer finish, and are in very good to excellent condition. Weatherstripping appears to be slightly older, and is still soft and in good to very good condition. Exterior door handles show a slightly older chrome finish, and are in very good condition. A set of chrome American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels has been added to this car; these wheels are wrapped with Goodyear Eagle GTII tires, which are sized 215/65/15 in the front, and 225/60/15 in the rear. These tires show an average of 8/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1961 Corvette Convertible shows somewhat recent looking seat covers in very good condition, and a recent looking dash pad in very good to excellent condition. Seatbelts look to be newer, and are in very good condition. A Hurst shifter has been installed in place of the factory unit. Gauges are in very good to excellent condition with no clear lenses and no apparent fading. Steering wheel is in good condition, and the door panels look to be newer with original armrests. The 350ci engine in this car shows a 3970010 casting number, and a June 16, 1978 casting date. This engine has been dressed with Edelbrock Elite valve covers and air cleaner, polished Edelbrock carburetor, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold, and modern HEI electronic ignition. Other underhood additions include an aluminum radiator, braided hoses, ceramic coated longtube headers, and a chrome alternator and water outlet. Frame is solid and rust-free. Included with this car are records and receipts dating back to 2004, and several photos of the 1999 body-off restoration. Included invoice shows that the front suspension was rebuilt in 2007. This car has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition.
