MotoeXotica is pleased to announce our latest addition, a 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera Type 996. The 911 is one of the most iconic sports cars in history, with few design changes throughout its history. This example has been lovingly cared for (and garaged) the last seven years so now it's time to let it out to roam the roads.

This classic beauty, with just 51,908 actual miles on its odometer, is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and is what a 911 is meant to look like, understated, with a hint of the car's true performance. The body paint is in excellent condition and shows extremely well. The front and rear color-keyed bumpers fit well and look great. The shadow trim is all present and in excellent condition, all the glass is in very good condition, except for a small crack in the windshield on the lower corner on the driver's side.

This Type 996 comes nicely equipped with a 296 hp 3.4 liter H6 flat six-cylinder engine. Power is transferred to the wheels by a Aisin SP6 six-speed manual transmission. Driver assist features include power steering and vented power disc brakes with anti-lock. The wheels are 18-inch silver five-spoke original Porsche crested alloys within Z-rated Sumitomo tires, which are top-speed rated to 149 mph.

Inside the cabin, there're soft, power (schwartz) black seats that are in very good condition with new seat covers. Condition of the carpeting, both door panels and the headliner defy their age. The original Porsche steering wheel, gauges, air-conditioning, power sunroof, power windows and power locks are in excellent condition and perform as designed. This car is also equipped with an AM/FM/CD player, just in case you ever tire of listening to that flat six with the dual-flow exhausts (doubtful, but it's there just in case).

From its inception in 1963 until 1998, the 911 was a two-door coupe with an air-cooled flat-six engine in the rear; for Porsche enthusiasts, the 996 series broke that tradition, the first major change to the recipe in 35 years. Changes included an entirely new chassis, an all-new water-cooled engine. If that wasn’t enough for Porsche fans, the 911 featured a sleeker body with a sharper windshield rake.

This Type 996 Porsche has all of the modern creature comforts yet still retains the classic drive train layout that made the 911 infamous. This is one of 28,040 examples made in 1999. The driver still gets the thrill of driving a rear-engined, flat six sports car that is plenty fast, without the steep induction price that a new 911 commands. GET OUT AND DRIVE!

Examples of the competition include the Chevrolet Corvette, the Nissan 300ZX, the Mitsubishi 3000GT, the Dodge Viper and the Acura NSX.

Current mileage on the odometer shows 51,908 miles. According to documents, it is understood these are actual miles. It is sold as is, where is on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. Included is the stamped maintenance book, the owner's manual and even the original radio code card!
