A Japanese man and an unemployed Filipino were arrested on Wednesday on charges of bodily injury, sexual molestation and robbery. Filipino man Aruchi Cabrera from Kawasaki Kanagawa and Takashi Kobayashi from Yokohama Kanagawa are alleged to have attacked a female vocational school student.

The pair is accused of covering the victim's mouth and dragging her into a nearby apartment building where Cabrera is suspected of strangling her and beating her unconscious. The duo also stand accused of raping the girl and robbing her of 2,000 yen (US$20). The girl suffered from whiplash and it took her one week to recover.

Cabrera confessed to all the charges during questioning. However, Kobayashi denied involvement in the assault and sexual molestation, claiming that he just obeyed Cabrera's orders and acted as a lookout. Adding that he did nothing but stand there.
